Description of the Project
Teams from VINCI Construction Grands Projets, Entrepose Contracting, Freyssinet, and Soletanche Bachy collaborated over a three-year period to deliver the Gate Terminal, strategically located in the Port of Rotterdam. The facility was officially inaugurated on 23 September 2011, in the presence of Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands.
Work done and added value of our solution
Design, Engineering, Procurement, Supply, Construction and Commissioning of 3 x 180,000 m3 LNG storage tanks (net working capacity):
- Full containment type, post-tensioned concrete outer containment and 9% Nickel Steel inner tank.
- Outer tank diameter: 86.0 m,Tank height: 50.4 m.
Project Description: (overall terminal)
- LNG import capacity for 3 tanks: 12 billion cubic metres (Bcm) of natural gas per year.
