Gas supply start-up in Gabès

On November 22, 2016 at noon, Entrepose Contracting introduced the first gas in the liquefied hydrocarbon storage depot in Gabès, Tunisia.

"Two of the six LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) storage containers involved in the project were filled with 350 tonnes of butane," explains David Millecamps, Site Director with Entrepose Contracting."This enabled flaring operations to begin in the evening and to continue later on into the night."
Before the start of the operation, the customer and all site staff were invited to a meeting to present the work and reiterate the safety rules. As David Millecamps points out, "This exchange made it possible to ensure a smooth, perfectly controlled gas supply start-up by the Entrepose Contracting teams." Product loading operations continue on Wednesday 23 November, with receipt of another 170 tonnes of butane and 250 tonnes of propane. At the end of the week, teams will begin operational tests.
